So June was a pretty boring month from a net worth standpoint. I continued plugging away in retirement accounts. On a non-monetary note, I also started running again and this heat is brutal. Since I’m running in the evenings, it’s been between 95-100 degrees.

Minimal movement in the S&P500 with a 0.48% gain. It looked like this month was going to have a healthy gain but right in the middle of the month the market took a lovely nosedive.

Meanwhile, the MORE household grew by 0.92%. SOOOOoooo boring. ugh. Let’s get in to the details.

Retirement accounts +$5,594: back to a double paycheck month. In positive news, my wife got a raise for all of her hard work. As a result, her contributions to her 401k will increase about $40 a month. Congrats Mrs MORE!

Non-retirement $216We’re planning another vacation to the bay area in mid July so our non-retirement accounts didn’t grow very much. The growth you see in the savings account is actually from credit card cash back. And I threw a few hundred bucks into my Robinhood brokerage account. I errantly sat out a run up in TSLA – it moved so quickly. I could’ve been rewarded handsomely as it ran up to $370 in June from $270ish in May. It has come back down to $310 as of this writing and I’m plotting another short put. I continue to draw down my lending club account. The upcoming recession with a TBD date will certainly impact these loans as it did when I invested in Prosper loans ~2008-9 and essentially broke even.

Home Equity -$1,389: Down movement in our home value likely due to rising interest rates and a slowing housing market.

Debt +$580: Since we made double car payments in May, I skipped our car payments to pay off our credit card since we had extra spending in June.

Boring action in June, hopefully leads to some fun action in July. You know what they say: June’s a prune, July’s my guy… Wait, do they say that?

Anywho, how’s your net worth progress coming along?!
